How to: Brit Rock bedhead hair from Topshop Unique

Ever found yourself waking up in the morning and loving the way your hair looks? Bedheads are the epitome of cool and relaxed chic. A look that exudes simplicity yet still has that sass that will make head turns, so it was the perfect choice for the Topshop Unique autumn / winter 2013 show.

It’s not everyday you wake up with the perfect bedhead hairstyle but lucky for us, Topshop teamed up with Anthony Turner and the result is a hairstyle that puts all bedheads to shame. The look is a play of texture and volume, perfect as a 2013 hairstyle and beyond. With a hint of rock, it is what a girl wants her hair to look like the morning after an awesome night out with her friends. Check out our complete how to for this ’70s Brit rock bed hair after the break.

How to: Topshop Unique’s Brit rock bed hair

This hairstyle is best started with dry hair. If you’re starting with wet hair, dry it with a blow dryer using your fingers as a comb.
To get the naturally messy hair look, apply tecni art Pli with tecni ar Full Volume Extra mousse from L’Oréal Professionnel. Combining these two products lets you “play” and get the texture necessary to pull off this bedhead. Using your hands work the products from roots to tips with your hands and then brush the ends out. This will give your hair a light and fluffy ’70s feel.
Next, spray your hair with L’oreal Professionnel tecni art Fresh Dust and brush out your hair to create lift.

Fix the front section of your hair so it frames the face. Then take a few sections from the crown of your head and slightly tease to create volume.
Secure this look by spraying on hairspray. For the Topshop Unique show tecni art’s air fix hair spray was used.

Simple yet still sexy, this look is perfect for the girl next door who still has a certain spunk in her. This hairstyle is one that is very flexible and can be worn day or night with almost anything. The best part of it is you don’t have to wait for the next morning to get it.
