It is important for the hair to have body and texture so put on mousse generously and then blow dry your hair while back combing the top of the hair.

Pull the hair into an almost French twist at the back (underneath the hair) leaving a section on top of the twist.

Wet your hair a little and use a flat iron to straighten then hair on the top section and back comb it to achieve the boyish slick hairstyle.

Finally, apply some wax (just enough to hold the hairstyle) and a shining spray serum for it to look slightly wet on top. Quick tip: If you have a lot of time, it would be best if you clip your hair to hold the back combed slick hairstyle in place until you’re ready to go out into the world. How to: bouffant headband hair

The secret to all this volume is teasing your hair. Before this, you will need to have a base so you can easily style and lift your hair up. Spritz a volumizing and luminous strong hairspray over the hair and then blow dry it with a large round brush.

In half inch sections, spritz the volumizing hairspray and then start teasing it from the tips of your hair to the base. The more you tease it, the bigger the volume you will get so this will depend on how big you want your bouffant hair will be. (Quick tip: after teasing each section, smooth it over with a brush right away and then spritz with a holding spray to lock the volume and style.)

Continue teasing each section of hair until you have volume all over, then take a brush and smooth the hair back into a bouffant shape.

In the show, they used black grosgrain headbands and ribbons to finish up the look. There were different styles throughout the show and one style is for you to just put the headband (I suggest an elastic headband) over the hair and tie it up underneath.

The second variation from the runway adds a low ponytail to the look. You can use a long grosgrain ribbon, put it over your bouffant hair as a headband and wrap the ends of it like a bow around your hair into a low ponytail.
