Hairstyle partings can sometimes be tricky as they can change the look of your face completely. But what’s not to say that a change in part can’t also be a good thing? If you always part your hair in the middle, why not try to do a side part this time?
Side part hairstyles in their various forms have proved popular as a hairstyle trend for spring 2013. Some hairstyles have deep and exaggerated side parts while other hairstyles kept simpler.
Talulah’s spring 2013 collection was inspired by the colours and textures of a spring garden. With lots of florals, botanicals and landscape prints in the collection, Talulah’s creative director Kelli Wharton wanted the hairstyle on the MBFWA runway to reflect an effortless yet cool and slightly nonchalant look, contrasting to the clean lines and sexy silhouettes in the clothes. The casual side part hairstyle was created by Joey Scandizzo for ghd, who wanted to make the models to look “done but undone”.
After the break, a step by step tutorial on how you can recreate this undone but cool casual side part hairstyle for yourself.

This is the kind of hairstyle that would highlight the ears so it would look great if you wore an ear cuff with it. To see more photos of the hairstyle and the clothes, check out the Talulah Spring 2013 runway gallery and Talulah spring 2013 backstage gallery.
