How to get the slicked-back hairstyle as seen at Roberto Cavalli

With the rise of the wet look hairstyle as a 2013 hair trend, it is only fitting that so many variations of it have shown up in different runway shows. It’s the task of people like Redken’s Guido Palau to take an existing hairstyle to the next level and this is what he did for the Roberto Cavalli fall 2013 show.

Guido Palau describes this hairstyle as a “wet, shiny look that is tough and boyish”. With the hair slicked back into something like a low ponytail, only unsecured, it can be said that it’s a modern hairstyle that’s fitting for the collection itself. Follow the steps after the break to recreate it.

How to: Roberto Cavalli wet slick-back

Prep your wet hair by applying shine oil like Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine Intense by Redken. This will help you attain that sleek and shiny look.
Blow dry your hair straight. You can also use a straightening iron if you think your hair isn’t sleek enough.
To prevent frizz, Spray some more of the Diamond Oil to the ends of your hair after drying it.
Create a center part and clip your hair behind your ears to give it that look of almost being in a low ponytail.
